North Kent Marshes : The North Kent Marshes has a very special place in my heart. It was the first place back in 1980 that I did my first 'serious' birdwatching and today, living just 15 minutes away, I spend as much time as possible taking pictures of the unique birds, animals, plantlife and landscape of this wonderful area. Regardless of season, there is always something happening. With spring, come the migrants, displaying lapwings and boxing hares. Summer the swallows, godwits and avocets. Autumn mists and passage migrants. And in winter, hard frosts, duck, waders and swans.
