One-to-one wildlife and landscape photography tuition and workshops

One-to-one wildlife and landscape photography workshops are suitable for those of all levels, from absolute beginner to the more advanced and take place in Kent, Sussex, Peak District and Brecon Beacons in Wales. In order for me to draw up the perfect itinerary, I will discuss with you, prior to the day, what it is you would like to photograph and learn and also to ascertain your current ability. It really is down to you as to what you would like to cover and photograph and over what length of time. For example, you may just want half a day one-to-one tuition as opposed to a full day.

Aside from the technical aspects of photography, I will discuss field-craft skills, using hides and the ‘art’ of seeing a picture. How we, as photographers, break down a scene to make sense out of nature’s ‘chaos’. In short, to open your mind to the creative possibilities that abound when recording the natural world and to return home with visually stunning images. You will no longer be taking snaps but instead, photographs!

Full-day one-to-one photography workshop prices start from £180 and last from between 6 and 8 hours depending on the weather but may last longer as the subject and weather dictates.

£140 per person (2 persons attending).

Half-day one-to-one photography workshop prices start from £90 and last from between 3 and 4 hours.

£70 per person (2 persons attending).

For those under 18 years of age, an adult friend, parent or guardian must attend and can do so at no additional cost.

Start and finish times vary and will often include a sunrise or sunset. For those locations outside of North and Mid Kent, an additional charge has been made to cover travel and possible overnight accommodation. In order for me to keep the cost down for you as much as possible, no lunch or refreshments are included, and anyway, when it comes to snacks, you know better than anyone what you like and don’t like, though at some locations there may be the possibility of having a pub lunch.

I am more than happy to discuss the possibility of travelling to a destination of your choice where, perhaps nearby, you have a WWT (Wildfowl and Wetland Trust) reserve, meadow or ancient woodland that you are familiar with and would like to visit.

I would, however, like to recommend those subjects and destinations outlined below as these are places I am very well acquainted with and as such know exactly where to go for you to have the best possible chance of obtaining spectacular images.

Prices shown below are given for those outside of North/Mid Kent. Those without are as above.

For one-day landscape photography workshops in the Peak District and the Brecon Beacons in Wales, why not get 2 or 3 of you together to reduce the cost from £350 for 1 person to £200 each for 2 and £165 each for 3. Transport provided.

How to book

To book a one-to-one workshop please contact Robert here in the first instance to discuss ideas and dates. A completed booking form will then be required which can be downloaded here as well as a 50% deposit. Robert will advise on payment methods which can be made by cheque, paypal or bank transfer. Remaining balance to be paid at least 14 days before the workshop date. Robert will confirm receipt of this by email.
