Unique Workshops and Tours

Unique Workshops and Tours Photography Workshop

Throughout the year I regularly hold workshops (and even overseas tours) that are not advertised on this website. The reason for this is that I occasionally come up with ideas that are completely unique both in terms of their location and format that have not yet been thought of by other photographers.

Macro and Creative Close-Ups

Macro and Creative Close-Ups Photography Workshop

Ever since I first picked up a camera some 30 years ago, close-up photography has fascinated me. To record the world around me that many would, idly, walk by and take very little notice of. It’s only when you get down and look really closely that you can fully appreciate the breathtaking beauty of, say, a ladybird, the eye of a dragonfly or, simply, the stamens of a wood anemone.

In short, to open your mind to the creative possibilities that abound when recording the natural world and for you to return home with visually stunning images.

Want to get to grips with using your digital compact or SLR camera? Ever wondered what all those buttons and symbols mean? What is ISO and how does it work? Can I use flash during the day or only at night and what picture quality setting should I use? These are all questions we ask ourselves when we first start using a camera but the manual's so thick and often difficult to understand that we just leave the camera on Programme setting.
