Gallery > Wood anemone
Some consider the snowdrop to be the "harbinger of spring". Personally, I don't as I feel they flower far too early to give you any hope of warmer months ahead. This title should be given to the wood anemone. Flowering in March and April there are few sights, here, in Kent more uplifting than tens of thousands of nodding white heads carpeting an ancient coppice or oak woodland.
