Aside from the tours and occasional 'far flung' workshop, I would estimate that in the region 80% of all my personal photography is undertaken within 20 miles of where I live. I still visit those very same woodlands, grasslands, and marshes that I did all those years ago when I first picked up a camera. All these images were taken very close to home. I prefer to work this way for it enables me to react when the weather is just so or when I have a spare hour or two from office duties.
