I've been "eyeing" up this poppy field, near Faversham, Kent, over the last week, waiting for decent sunrise conditions. Well, with clouds arriving from the west as the sun rose, I finally got them!
The wide images were taken using a Nikon D300 and 12-24mm lens and the close-up, a 200mm Micro, iso 200 at f16. For the top image, I chose not to use an ND graduated filter due to the increased risk of flare so, instead, blended two expoures. One where I exposed for the foreground and the other, for the sky.
