Following many years of giving 15-20 talks annually, in late 2019 I decided to take an extended break from presenting at camera clubs. Of course, aside from giving them via Zoom, the pandemic would have forced my hand anyway and although I gave a couple online, ultimately I wanted to do as few as possible since I felt I needed a break from presenting and time to evaluate my photographic 'path'.
Well, I am very pleased to announce that I am, once again, available for both online and in-person camera club lectures on landscape and wildlife photography. I currently offer four with each lasting for between 60 and 90 minutes with time allotted for Q&A though this can be easily tailored depending on your requirements.
With more than 30 years of experience (yes, I started young!), I have given more than 500 to all manner of groups and societies including The Photographic Alliance of Great Britain, The Royal Photographic Society, and at conferences including the Scottish Nature Photography Festival.
Equally at home in a theatre packed full of enthusiasts as I am a small club, my goal is to inspire others to get out into nature with a camera to explore and experiment, so expect my talks to be packed full of technical advice and tips as well as giving an insight into the thought process that lay behind the making of my images.

One of the reasons I took an extended break from giving talks was due to all the travel involved and with increased traffic on our roads I found I had to leave earlier and earlier to be certain of reaching the venue in sufficient time. Therefore, unless you have a special event that you would like me to speak at I now limit travel to within one hour one-way from Sittingbourne, Kent. For talks further afield, additional expenses will be applied as well as some not-inconsiderable arm-twisting!
My fee for a Zoom talk starts from £85 and for in-person from £115 plus travel expenses at 40p per mile return from Sittingbourne, Kent.
