The week before last was spent in the company of fellow photographer, Marek Kosinski, where we spent time both in Krakow and the Polish Jura seeking out locations for an upcoming workshop (possibily this autumn and next) based around the city and the landscape to the north. Since Marek grew up in Krakow and lectured at the university, there was no-one better to show me around this beautiful part of Europe. Here’s a selection from the trip.
One of the specialities of the workshop will be night photography and the use of torchlight to illuminate castles in the landscape.
Our time here concluded with painting this castle with torchlight. It really is a lot of fun and a technique I enjoy employing on a subject such as this.
