In my defence, since I record outside, to avoid too much sound interference, the weather needs to be fair and, as we know, over the winter, the weather has been, at times, pretty wild. Come the new year, I got busy with tours and, upon returning from my recent Poland trip, came down with a chest infection, which pretty much put me out of action for more than 2 weeks! Have you got the violin out yet?! And so, today, with the sun shining and barely a breath of wind, I got the urge to record one from my local woods.
