The North Kent Marshes holds a very special place in my heart for it was the first place back in 1980 that I did my first 'serious' birdwatching and today, living just 15 minutes away, I spend as much time as possible photographing the wildlife and landscape of this wonderful region. Regardless of the season, there is always something happening. With spring, come the migrants, displaying lapwings and boxing hares. Summer the swallows, godwits, and avocets. Autumn mists and passage migrants. And in winter, hard frosts, ducks, waders, and swans. I hope that by viewing these images you will feel as I do, that such areas need our protection both for the sake of its wildlife and for future generations to enjoy.
