A bespoke one-to-one or group workshop is an ideal opportunity to improve your skills as a landscape and/or close-up photographer. or as a gift to a loved one in the form of a voucher. Drawing from more than 25 years as a professional the day is designed to be highly informative and enjoyable in a very relaxed manner. 

Suitable for absolute beginners, the more seasoned photographer or for someone who isn't comfortable in a group setting, the day can be easily tailoured to suit your individual needs and level of experience. Are you having issues with finding strong compositions? Do you need more clarity on the exposure 'triangle' or the use of graduated, polarising and ND filters? Or, perhaps, you'd just like to be guided to some wonderful locations with a little tuition thrown in the mix and discuss all things photography. The decision is yours and through prior correspondence, we will, I am sure, come up with the perfect itinerary. 

Multi-day and bespoke
As illustrated through the numerous workshops that I run I have extensive experience throughout England, Wales and Europe and so it could take the form of a multi-day bespoke photographic holiday. For example, you may have a group of photography buddies who like the idea of a couple of days in Dartmoor, a weekend city break in Prague, or, if you are feeling really adventurous, to Lapland! I will take care of everything, from flights and transfers to accommodation and transport. All you would need to bring is your suitcase, camera bag and an adventurous spirit! 

Pre-workshop video-call
Prior to the day, we will have a brief video call where we can discuss what you would like to gain from the workshop and through viewing a small selection of your images I will be able to gain an understanding of your experience and therefore tailor the day accordingly. 

Lee Filters and tripod loan
As I am sponsored by Lee Filters the full range will be available to you from graduated through to polarising and ND. Also, I have a number of tripods that you are more than welcome to use.

Workshop info

Thank you for dropping by and considering attending a workshop. I love nothing more than to pass on to others the knowledge I have gained over the last 30 years as a professional photographer and 15 as a workshop and tour leader. My group sizes are always small ensuring a fun and friendly group dynamic, lots of 'personal space' in which to photograph without too much fear of others getting in your way and as much tuition as you would like or feel that you need. I hope you can join me!

Although under the 'umbrella' of Workshops, please note there is a difference between the three types that I offer. To avoid any confusion, please see below.

Workshops

Those taking place in the UK are classed as Workshops where learning is the primary aim, and in the case of those which are multi-day residential, very often include image critique and post-processing sessions.

Tours

Overseas trips are classed as Tours where the logistics are all taken care of and where the emphasis is on getting you to great locations at the best time of the day. Since these may include hide photography and working in cold, windy conditions where one-on-one tuition isn't practical, these are less hands-on. However, prior to the hide session or upon arriving at a location, I will give advice and suggestions on composition, lens selection and exposure.

Creative Visions

Creative Visions is a new concept that I have designed to specifically nurture your artistic growth. They can take place in either the UK or abroad combining both workshop and tour principles. There will be critique and post-processing tutorials and, most importantly, you will be encouraged to go beyond the record and representational and instead produce more intimate creative interpretations.
