Scottish Nature Photography Festival

Tuesday 4th July 2017

I'm extremely pleased (indeed, honoured) that I have been invited to speak at this year's Scottish Nature Photography Festival - SNPF. Held on the 9th and 10th September, the event is held annually at Battleby Conference Centre, just north of Perth where I, along with a number of other photographers, will be giving presentations. Mine will be on my approach to working close-to-home and is entitled 'Kent in my heart'.  Some of us will also be giving workshops midway through the day and I have been asked to do one on macro and creative close-up photography which has already sold out! It'll be a flying visit from me; arriving Friday evening, giving my talk and workshop on the Saturday and then flying back that evening since on the Monday (ironically, given the title of my talk!) I'll be leaving to spend 2 weeks in Finnish and Norwegian Lapland. I'm particularly looking forward to hearing other speakers, most notably Sandra Bartocha who'll be taking to the stage just before me. Other speakers on the Saturday include the 2015 European Wildlife Photographer of the Year Richard Peters and the Norwegian duo Orsolya and Erlend Haarberg.

If you're interested in attending this event then you can purchase tickets here.
