I thought it would be a nice opportunity for those who've known me - and my relationship with Elmley - to be part of the story from the very beginning, and to follow the journey as it unfolds. By joining, they'd play a vital role in shaping more than 30 years of photographing Elmley into a beautifully crafted coffee-table book.

What began as occasional visits with a camera grew into a lasting connection with a place whose vast skies, shifting seasons, and extraordinary wildlife have profoundly shaped my life - both personally and as a photographer.
Over the decades, I’ve watched countless dawns break over the marsh, seen the reserve transform through winter floods and summer light, and experienced remarkable encounters with the many species that make Elmley so special. These images are the result of years of patience, repeated visits, and a deep affection for this landscape.
